Anthony Hsieh

Anthony Hsieh founded loanDepot after 25 years of innovation in consumer financial services. With loanDepot, Mr. Hsieh has once again assembled a world class management team and has revolutionized home lending by focusing on consumer empowerment through educational resources, accurate information, competitive rates, and a transparent home loan process. loanDepot is the first consumer lender of its kind, offering a vast array of resources including a library of video tutorials and other helpful tools to help consumers make the right decisions.

Prior to loanDepot, Mr. Hsieh founded Home Loan Center, Inc. in July 2002. Between 2002 and 2004, Home Loan Center grew from 20 employees to over 1,000 and reached over $7 billion in loans. In December 2004, Mr. Hsieh merged Home Loan Center with LendingTree, LLC where Mr. Hsieh served, post merger, as the President of LendingTree, LLC. Under Mr. Hsieh’s leadership, the company grew to over 2,000 employees and funded over $20 billion in loans. LendingTree, LLC, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Interactive Corp., (NASDAQ-IACI).

In 1989, Mr. Hsieh founded LoansDirect.com which grew from 10 employees to over 800 at its peak. One of only two successful Internet-based mortgage companies, LoansDirect merged with E*TRADE Financial in 2001 and became E*TRADE Mortgage. LoansDirect.com distinguished itself as a technology leader and remained one of the most profitable and successful lenders of that time.

Mr. Hsieh is also the owner and team captain of Team Bad Company, the world’s most successful competitive big-game fishing crew. Mr. Hsieh resides in Southern California with his family.

Tomo Yebisu

Tomo Yebisu currently serves as President of loanDepot. Mr. Yebisu previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Home Loan Center and LendingTree Loans from July 2002 through November 2007. Mr. Yebisu brings nearly 20 years of expertise in the areas of Sales, Marketing, and Call Center Operations. Prior to joining Home Loan Center, Mr. Yebisu served as Executive Vice President of Sales for LoansDirect.com and President and Chief Operating Officer for E*TRADE Mortgage from 1994 to 2001.

A dynamic leader and rigorous operator, Mr. Yebisu has worked with Mr. Hsieh since the early 1990’s as a key player to the management teams responsible for the sale of two highly successful businesses to large public companies.

John Lee

John Lee currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of loanDepot. Mr. Lee previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HomeLoanCenter and LendingTree Loans from September 2002 through May 2007.

Mr. Lee brings nearly 15 years of financial and deal-execution experience, having worked as the West Coast head of CIBC World Markets’ investment banking group (CIBC Oppenheimer), covering financial services. Mr. Lee has managed transactions covering initial public offerings, private placements of debt and equity and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Lee was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisition at Countrywide Home Loans. Mr. Lee was employed by Countrywide Home Loans from 1995 through 1998 and was responsible for sourcing and executing acquisitions, strategic partnerships and affinity relationships.

Mr. Lee has a BA in economics from the University of Rochester and an MBA in finance from The Ohio State University, where he was distinguished as a Weidler Scholar.

Jim Svinth

Jim Svinth serves as Executive Vice President, Capital Markets for loanDepot. Prior to joining loanDepot, Mr. Svinth held a similar position at LendingTree Loans and HomeLoanCenter.com working with Mr. Hsieh. He is a seasoned business leader with 24 years of financial and operational experience with several Fortune 500 companies, including GE Capital, Norwest, The Prudential, and Citicorp.

Mr. Svinth has led virtually every aspect of the mortgage banking process with particular emphasis in the capital markets and risk management disciplines.

A recognized financial industry expert and commentator, Mr. Svinth is often cited by such diverse media as Bloomberg Television, CNBC, Fox Business News, USA Today and American Banker among others.

Mr. Svinth has a BA in business and economics from the University of Washington and a Masters of Business Administration from Washington State University.

Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson currently serves as Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Strategy for loanDepot. Mr. Anderson previously was a founding partner of PennyMac Home Loans where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Mortgage Operations Officer. At PennyMac Mr. Anderson helped build and led most aspects of mortgage lending operations for the company.

Mr. Anderson brings over 23 years of diverse experience in mortgage lending including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Capital Markets, Escrow and Insurance. Mr. Anderson has built mortgage lending operations in the US and Canada, served as Chief Operating Officer of Lehman Brothers' Mortgage lending Operations and has managed both centralized operations and call centers as well as decentralized branch networks. From 1998 through 2002 Mr. Anderson held a variety of executive management roles at Countrywide Home Loans including Executive Vice president of Wholesale Lending where he managed a nationwide branch network and oversaw both sales and operations.

Mr. Anderson has a BS in Economics and Corporate Finance from Fordham University in New York.

Matt Murray

Matt Murray currently serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Murray oversees all customer acquisition initiatives, as well as public relations and the loanDepot brand. Mr. Murray is a pioneer of the internet based mortgage industry and his deep understanding of the online marketing space brings the necessary skills needed to grow loanDepot into a leader in the direct to consumer mortgage space.

Mr. Murray brings over 15 years of mortgage experience to loanDepot. Prior to joining loanDepot, Mr. Murray served as General Manager of BarNone, Inc., Vice President of Marketing for NationPoint, a division of Merrill Lynch, and Head of Retail Marketing for Accredited Home Lenders. Mr. Murray’s online experience dates back to 1997, when he joined E-Loan as one of its first employees and served as the Vice President of Strategy & Business Development. While at E-Loan, Mr. Murray was in charge of all online acquisition channels, offline partnerships and strategy for the company. Mr. Murray incubated and launch various business units at E-Loan including its closing company, relocation mortgage group and its non prime lending operations.

Prior to Mr. Murray’s marketing responsibilities, he was employed as a mortgage loan officer for 3 years. Mr. Murray holds a California Real Estate License and attended San Jose State University.

Phillip Baltazar

Phillip Baltazar currently serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development at loanDepot. Previously, Mr. Baltazar was Director of the Internet Mortgage Division of First Choice Loan Services and was the founder and CEO of American Funding, Inc. Along with joining loanDepot’s Executive Team, Mr. Baltazar brings his Mclean VA and San Diego Branch Offices.

Mr. Baltazar brings 14 years of mortgage experience with a focus on direct to consumer internet lending. His award winning platform has landed him seats on Lending Tree and Ellie Mae’s Lender Advisory Committees.

Mr. Baltazar has been tasked with bringing big box affinity programs as well as strategic partnerships to grow loanDepot's national brand.

Mr. Baltazar wrestled for both West Virginia University as well as George Mason University.

Victoria Clement

Victoria Clement serves as loanDepot's Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Ms. Clement is responsible for creating, analyzing and executing financial and strategic opportunities in order to prioritize loanDepot’s business initiatives. Ms. Clement also manages loanDepot's B2B Partner Channel.

Ms. Clement has led customer centric business models in both large public corporations and private enterprises. Prior to joining loanDepot, she was an executive at Goldman Sachs, where she built and executed fixed income strategic plans for both the Global Banking Group and Correspondent Mortgage Channel. In addition to Goldman, her career in financial services also includes the development of strategic businesses at Lehman Brothers, GE Capital and SignOnline, a digital signature technology company. Her deal experience in the financial services industry has transcended diverse business cycles, including complete client redefinition and financial market evolutions. In addition to domestic development, Ms. Clement has designed and distributed products in the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia.

Ms. Clement holds a BA in Economics from UCLA, where she graduated with distinguished honors. She holds an Advanced Degree in Marketing from UCI and is a Graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking. Ms. Clement retains both Series 7 and 63 professional licenses.

Peter Macdonald

Peter Macdonald serves as General Counsel for loanDepot. Mr. Macdonald previously served as General Counsel, Vice President, and Secretary of Home Loan Center and LendingTree Loans from September 2003 to November 2006.

Prior to joining Home Loan Center, Mr. Macdonald was counsel to various established and start-up companies, as well as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Anaheim.

Mr. Macdonald is well versed in the legal, compliance and regulatory standards and has advised financial services clients for well over 15 years, participating in acquisitions, re-structures and fast-growth companies.

Mr. Macdonald holds a B.A. in Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and a J.D. from Western State University.

Betty Kranig

Betty Kranig is a highly-respected real estate lending professional with many years of successful experience in all areas of the business. Her vast resume details superior performance in virtually all areas of mortgage operations including escrow, investor relations, closing, and vendor management. Before joining the loanDepot team Betty served as President of HLC Escrow and Settlement Services, and was a Senior Vice President at Home Loan Center dba LendingTree Loans. Prior to Home Loan Center Ms. Kranig served as Senior Vice President of Operations with E*TRADE Financial as well as E*TRADE Escrow. No stranger to Anthony (Hsieh) and the team, Betty has performed in various management capacities as a key member of the management team for more than a decade. She has proven to be an integral part of our past two successful companies and will no doubt be a pillar of strength for loanDepot.

Mike Berte

Mike Berte serves as Senior Vice President of National Sales where he will be opening and building Production Centers strategically throughout the United States.

Mr. Berte brings over 16 years of mortgage banking experience to loanDepot. Prior to joining loanDepot, Mike was the top producing sales executive for CapWest Mortgage. Mr. Berte also founded and held the title of CEO of Home Capital, Inc., a retail mortgage bank that employed more than 150 loan officers in two locations. Over the course of 8 years, Mr. Berte built Home Capital into a premiere mortgage banking operation that was recognized nationally as one of the top direct to consumer sales platforms.

A driven and charismatic leader, Mike has led all aspects of the mortgage banking process, but his true passion is driving sales and production.

Mr. Berte has a BS in Finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Kristiina Hintgen

Kristiina Hintgen – SVP, Human Resources previously served as SVP, Associate Services and VP, Human Resources and Learning & Development at Option One Mortgage, a subsidiary of H&R Block, for 11 years. She is a seasoned HR professional with over 20+ years experience in all aspects of HR including compensation, benefits, employee relations, payroll, recruiting, organizational development, training, learning and development, performance management and succession planning. She has also had oversight in corporate communications, policies and procedures and administrative services.

Prior to joining loanDepot, from August 2008 to January 2011, Ms. Hintgen was SVP, Human Resources at Skilled Healthcare, LLC a publically traded holding company for 79 Skilled Nursing facilities and 22 Assisted Living facilities in 10 states with over 14,000 employees. They also provide services to Hallmark Rehabilitation and Signature Hospice and Home Health companies. Ms. Hintgen worked closely with the Board of Directors and was instrumental in introducing hiring and retention programs.

Ms. Hintgen also previously served as AVP, Human Resources for Kaufman and Broad Mortgage a subsidiary of KB Home, a Fortune 500 nationwide home builder.

Ms. Hintgen earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Denver and has her Professional Designation in Human Resources from University of California, Los Angeles.

Fred Bai

Fred Bai is the Chief Information Officer for loanDepot. He has more than 16 years of leadership experience and over 23 years of Information Technology experience in building IT organizations for both start-up and established companies. An accomplished corporate strategist and technical manager, his vision and expertise in building IT business infrastructures have driven companies toward aggressive corporate goals including initial public offerings.

Mr. Bai has used these abilities in various industries that include Unocal 76, Security Pacific Bank, First American Title, Aames Financial, Encore Credit Corp and Kondaur Capital Corp and its affiliates. He has held successful executive and director level positions managing groups up to 200 personnel. Offering operational strengths in building IT organizations, managing organizations toward corporate initiatives and goals, and pioneering cost-effective solutions utilizing cutting-edge technology are his greatest assets.

His unique ability to open the lines of communication between business and technology groups create connections, productivity, and synergy. This ability enables IT to implement technology solutions effectively and efficiently.

Norm Steeg

Norm Steeg serves as Vice President of Operations at loanDepot. Mr. Steeg previously served as General Manager of Purchase Lending at LendingTree Loans from August 2005 to November 2007. Prior to LendingTree Loans, Mr. Steeg served as President of Sea Breeze Financial Services, Inc. and Executive Vice President of Secondary Marketing at Residential Credit Corp. Mr. Steeg has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and a proven track record of building successful companies. He is a leader in creating operational excellence in organizations with an emphasis on execution. Mr. Steeg also has an in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulatory compliance issues for mortgage lenders.

Mr. Steeg has a BA in International Relations from Alliant University.

Clare Anderson

Clare Anderson serves as Chief Green Officer at loanDepot. After working in the mortgage industry for many years, she took time off for a year long trip around the world. During this trip she was inspired by the environmental and social standards companies in other countries aspire to. Upon returning, she approached Anthony Hsieh with the idea of adopting many of these ideals within loanDepot. As Chief Green Officer she is responsible for implementing and managing the corporation's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and overseeing the organization's social and community initiatives.

Clare holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Government from the University of Redlands.
