Every day, #TeamloanDepot associates are hard at work helping people achieve their dreams – and those of their families – with the purchase of a home, sending a child to college, or starting a new business venture. And, as 2015 comes to a close, all of our associates are especially excited to make this year a record-breaker for giving back to the community.

Beginning this week, #TeamloanDepot associates will be collecting food at locations across the U.S. The food items, which will be collected through Nov. 24th, will be distributed to local food banks in advance of the Thanksgiving holidays. It will require a dedicated effort to beat last year’s collection of 1,500 lbs., which was then matched in monetary donations by loanDepot. By the time the last can was sorted, the company had matched $7,500 in funds for local food banks.

The food drive comes on the heels of #TeamloanDepot’s legal department’s day at the Second Harvest Food Bank, where the group helped bag produce for needy families.

Quickly following our food drives will be our annual Toys for Tots toy collection. Run the by United States Marine Corps Reserve, the beloved charity hopes to make the holidays brighter for more than 7 million children.

#TeamloanDepot will have toy collection bins in its lobbies, with hopes that every child in our local communities has a present to open during this special season.

And, #TeamloanDepot will kick off the new year by donating pints of blood at its annual blood drive.Carrot_Assembly

“Our goal is to set a new record for pints collected,” says Chief Culture Officer Casey Horton about the upcoming blood drive. “Donating blood is a very simple thing, but it can make a big difference in the lives of people in our communities.”

If you would like to participate in our food drive or Toys for Tots toy collection, please stop by and drop off your donation at one of our locations. You’ll be helping us make the holidays – and every day – brighter for the families in our local communities.
