David joined loanDepot in 2015 bringing more than two decades of valuable experience. He received his Bachelor degree in History and Economics from UC San Diego, and then went on to complete his MBA at the USC Marshall School of Business. His work experience includes serving in a variety of roles, including Junior Loan Officer (1999-2000), Mortgage Loan Officer (2001-2008), Account Manager (2008-Present), and most recently Licensed Loan Officer at loanDepot (2015-Present). David originally joined the real estate business due to his grandfather’s encouragement, who was a Real Estate Investor and taught Business at Cerritos College. Because of his positive influence, David was able to purchase his first home in 2005. When the recession hit in 2008, David was able to save his house, and learn many valuable lessons he still uses to help his clients today.
In his work, David enjoys looking out for his clients’ best interest by always keeping them protected, informed and educated on the loan process. No matter the challenges along the way, he is able to push through and facilitate a successful transaction for his borrowers. Seeing their joy is something David finds very rewarding.
When he is not originating loans, David enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Purple Belt), running half marathons, fitness and health, guitar, Portuguese language, tennis and surfing. His charitable efforts include Discovering Light Charity to Ethiopia, Africa – Business and Cultural Charity, and United Health Care – Medicare Educational Consultant.
