Shalanda joined loanDepot in 2018 bringing over 10 years of valuable experience. She started out as a mortgage producing Retail Banking Branch Manager during the 2008 recession. Since then, she has worked for a builder lender and a correspondent lender, eventually going back to the bank environment. Due to her continual commitment, Shalanda was recognized as the 2011 Pinnacle Club Winner, and 2011 & 2012 Dynamic Hub Leader.
Shalanda originally pursued working in the mortgage industry when one of the banks she worked at asked her to originate a home loan. She soon found her true calling working within her community to help others achieve a monumental life goal. She enjoys the connection and servitude of helping all kinds of buyers, especially first-time homeowners. Educating clients while making the process as seamless as possible is something she finds rewarding in her daily work. She prides herself on coming up with solutions through the use of her analytical and problem solving skills.
In her free time, Shalanda spends time working in her yard, exploring new restaurants, and traveling – whether it be a day trip or a foreign destination. She has an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso, and has been given the title of “Best Aunt in the World” by her five nephews and three nieces. She’s an active volunteer at Frameworks CDC where she teaches a class for a HUD approved agency. Her other community efforts involve Home Builders of America-Austin (HBA of Austin), Austin Board of Realtors (ABOR), and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).
You can find Shalanda at the Austin, TX branch. Please don’t hesitate to contact her for any of your home financing needs!
