About Shane
Aloha,
My name is Shane Irish. I’m a Mortgage Loan Officer with loanDepot Honolulu. I was born and raised in Honolulu and attended Iolani High School. From there I spent time at Ithaca College in upstate New York wrestling for the Bombers, spent a year at home at the University of Hawaii and graduated from Oregon State University with Degrees in Business and Economics. Unlike my two older sisters, I didn’t know what my career path would be after college, but I did know that I wanted to come home and that I enjoyed working with people. Today, I have been in banking for six years and specifically mortgage banking since 2016.
Getting to work on time isn’t anything to promote and neither is closing on time. These are innate expectations of being a professional. What does set me apart is the energy I bring to work every day and a level of service and work ethic I have yet to see bypassed. I treat every opportunity with humility, respect and grace but will fight for my client in a tight situation.
I spent two years as a board member for the Hawaii Economic Association, volunteer for my high school and am in the process of being approved as a Court Appointed Special Advocate where I will work with local foster children and the people around them to provide a judge the information necessary to place a foster child in the best situation. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends laughing while telling stories, all things sports, golfing and occasionally exercising (I’ve had enough cardio during my time wrestling for the next few years).
