Patty Raymo’s commitment to excellence can be seen in every aspect of her career. As loanDepot’s chief operating officer - retail, she is known for her tireless commitment to ensuring our retail lending operations run smoothly for our borrowers and associates alike.

We’re proud to say her exceptional dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed by the housing industry. In fact, HousingWire selected her as one of their 2016 Women of Influence. This award comes on the heels of the “Leading Lady” title she earned from the MReport in 2015, in which she was recognized as one of the most influential housing executives in the nation.

A dedicated problem-solver, Raymo is as enthusiastic today as she was nearly 30 years ago when her husband saw an ad in a local paper for a loan processor and though it would be a perfect fit. Turns out, he was right.

“I am meticulous regarding our process, and making it more responsive, efficient and compliant,” Raymo says. “loanDepot is the leader we are today because our culture has always had the foundation of being a responsible lender.”

Today, Raymo oversees all aspects of loanDepot’s retail loan origination, underwriting and closing functions.  She ensures that her teams are continuously adhering to the company’s principles of integrity and quality, and ensuring that responsible borrowers nationwide receive an optimal loan experience.

Among her many accomplishments in 2015, Raymo skillfully led one of the company’s brand’s implementation of the new TILA-RESPA Integrated Rules (TRID). Not only did she successfully navigate and translate the complex, government-mandated overhaul of lending industry procedures, she created internal processes for the company’s partners and provided superior training for all involved. Under Raymo’s leadership, nearly 400 #TeamloanDepot associates were trained and prepared for the new regulations before they went into effect in October of 2015. As a result of her dedication, the retail division has been able to close more than 99 percent of all loans on time since the implementation of TRID.

This marks the sixth year that HousingWire has recognized the women who are leading the mortgage industry. Raymo is in good company, with 42 other leaders who represent a range of occupations within the housing sector, including mortgage lending, investing and real estate.

“One of the things that stands out about the winners is their tremendous value to the companies they run or work for,” said Sarah Wheeler, HousingWire magazine editor. “This value comes not only from the job duties they perform—although those were impressive on their own merits—but also in the way they lead and mentor others within their companies.”

Adds Jacob Gaffney, editor-in-chief of HousingWire, “The impact of these women is expansive, going far beyond the day-to-day responsibilities they have. These are women who invest their time and energy for the future of our industry, with spectacular results.”
