Weldon Phillips

Weldon Phillips joined loanDepot with over seventeen years of mortgage experience. Over the years, Weldon has developed excellent communication skills and mortgage expertise, which he is excited to bring to all his clients. His knowledge of existing and updated guidelines provide an experience that will ensure the clients goals are met with a positive experience. Before Weldon started his mortgage career, he served in the United States Navy as an Enginemen. He received a degree as a Diesel Mechanic, was certified as a ships Firefighter, and was certified for Gauge Calibration. He left the Navy and attended TVI where he received a HV/AC Journeyman License. This gives Weldon a common sense approach to working in the mortgage industry for the betterment of his clients.

One of the reasons Weldon enjoys being a Loan Consultant is due to his desire to enable anyone to realize their homeownership dream. He works with clients from all walks of life to structure the right loan for their situation. There is no challenge he won’t overcome to best serve his clients. In fact, Weldon has been recognized and won several top producer awards over the last decade.

When he’s not closing loans, he enjoys fishing, shooting guns, playing family games, as well as being a musician bass player and vocalist. Weldon is married and works his wife Maria as teamPhillips. They have three wonderful children, 16-year-old daughter, 10-year-old daughter, and 9-year-old son. His family also has two dogs, four parakeets, three dwarf hamsters and a turtle named swimmy Swimmer. Whenever possible, Weldon volunteers his time for organizations such as Paws and Stripes, American Heart and Stroke Association, and the Albuquerque Christian Home.
